MADE IN ITALY 100% CERTIFICATE
In the 2004 Financial Bill the Italian Government has already approved the issue on the identification of the 100% Italian products.
In the past years PROMINDUSTRIA Ltd, delegated by the Institute for the protection of Italian Manufacturers has developed a voluntary certification system called 100% MADE IN ITALY CERTIFICATE.
CERTIFICATION
The institute for the protection of Italian Manifacturers has developed a regulation system.
It allows companies that produce total Italian goods to obtain a certification and to use the following distinguishing signs.
ACCORDING TO THE IT01 SYSTEM 100% ITALIAN QUALITY
THE COMPANIES THAT WANT TO CERTIFY THEIR PRODUCTIONS MUST PRESENT THE FOLLOWING REFERENCES:
1. One's own trademark
2. totally manufactured in Italy
3. made with high quality, natural and first choice materials
4. created with exclusive and unique models
5. made by using the traditional crafmanship Italian manufacturing process
PROCEDURE TO APPLY FOR THE CERTIFICATION SYSTEM
“HANDMADE 100% CERTIFICATE”
1.firms apply to this procedure presenting their references
2.temporary approval
3.authorization to use the distinguishing signs
4.signature of the regulation system.
5.Decision of the technical and scientific committee and enrollment at the National Register of Italian Manufacturers
DISTINGUISHING SIGNS
HANDMADE 100% CERTIFICATE
In order to enhance the value of Italian productions, the Institute has developed a certification system called “100% authentic Italian quality MADE IN ITALY CERTIFICATION”. This project guarantees to the consumer the unique quality and the Italian origin of goods and helps manufacturers to distinguish their productions from who have a doubtful origin.
Thanks to the express request of some luxury handicrafs firms, the Institute has enriched its Made in Italy regulation system by introducing the “Handmade in Italy” distinguishing sign.
The firm who certifies its production will be enrolled in the National Register of Italian Manufacturers. In addition the company will be able to guarantee and to communicate to its customers the undoubtful Italian origin of its goods.

SANITARY AND SECURITY CERTIFICATION which follows THE EUROPEAN LEGISLATIVE REGULATIONS
CERTIFICATION
PROMINDUSTRIA has developed the SC Certification.
Through the use of the SC trademark the Manufacturer guarantees that his manufacturing processes respect the sanitary laws and the security standards. The foreign companies are also able to obtain the SC trademark after passing a preliminary investigation of the goods they want to export to Italy.

PROCEDURE TO OBTAIN THE USAGE LICENSE
1.The usage license on the SC security and sanitary certification is given by PROMINDUSTRIA Ltd
2.Manufacturers and importers can require the SC sanitary and security certification both for the goods made in the European Union countries and for those who are made in the non European Union countries.
3.Questions must be sent to PROMINDUSTRIA Ltd on relevant forms (form C and from EC).The Authority in charge is allowed to ask for further information and records in order to complete the application procedure for the SC certification.
4.A five days preliminary investigation follows the application procedure. If the Authority allows the issue of the usage license to the examinated firm, the applicant has to make a bank deposit and send a copy of the invoice to the Authority.
5.The Certifying Authority issues the form A usage license to manufacturers and a form B usage license to importers. The usage license is issued in order to obtain the SC certification which follows the European Union regulations.
6.Labs issue a form D certification
7.The manufacturer can obtain the usage license without a lab certification (tests, analysis..)
8.The usage license is signed by the manager of the Authority and it is countersigned by the person in charge of the procedure
9.Manufacturers and importers have to make a product according to the conditions defined by A or B or C forms or by those written in the usage license.
10.The certification has a two years validity. Expiring terms are defined either by the usage license then by the lab certification.
11.The Authority that issues the usage license registers and saves copies for a twelve months period after the deadline.Every license has its number.
DISTINGUISHING SIGNS
Procedure that allows the usage of distinguishing signs 
Firms hand over to distributors a copy of the SC certification and the SC holographic sign enclosed to the invoice. Stickers are attached to the package.
